From the final quarter of 2014 on wards, Irish Water will be charging each household around Ireland for their water. Each household will be charged based on their usage, similar to electricity. In order for this usage to be monitored, a water meter will need to be fitted into each home. Meters will be placed into a meter box, which will be fitted underground on public land.
PJ Piling Contracts Ltd. was successfully contracted to install these water box and meters around the north-east counties of Ireland. This works entails the excavation of public footpath/roadway, the fitting of the meter box followed by reinstatement.
